After a two month hiatus, Evanston Democratic Meetups are back featuring a timely speaker and subject.

Julie Sweet from People For the American Way, PFAW, will be speaking to our group in the back room of the Celtic Knot about the recent Supreme Court vacancy and what it potentially represents to our country for decades to come.

People For the American Way Foundation recently released a report, entitled "Courting Disaster", which outlines a number of Supreme Court decisions and precedents that could be overturned if the ideological balance of the court shifts to the Right. Julie will be bringing copies with her to hand out at the meeting.
